Mrs. Havisham

Today is Old Maid's Day! I at first thought that today was about a card game that I had no idea how to play, but luckily for me, it wasn't. No, today is instead intended to raise awareness of the women of the world who have not found that special person yet and are ... er... gaining years? Being a guy, I have to admit I don't really know how to tell anyone how to go about acting upon this holiday. I tried researching it and the most likely story seems to be that it started around the time of WWII when a lot of young fair ladies who had lost their man in the war were encouraged to go to large social meet and greets with soldiers who had survived the war. So... I... I guess if you feel like you are an 'old maid' (not that I'm saying you look old at ALL... OR that all women do is clean like maids) then you should go out on the town and try to meet Mr. Right?

I'm going to stop typing. All this post can do is dig me a shallow grave.

Today is Repeat Day! Today is easily celebrated by doing whatever you do today multiple times or doing whatever you do today multiple times. You could even repeat yesterday and eat more rocky road! Id be down with that. There are many different uses to repetitiveness such as testing things scientifically, cooking batches of baked goods, or doing math. In fact, I know several people who do things repetitively for the sole purpose of being repetitive. There's a certain kind of comedy in it for some reason. For those of you about to finish school, yet are unafraid to face the outside world, today is the perfect day to purposefully bomb your exam and repeat the 12th grade! The fun part about that is, you can do it NEXT Repeat Day, too! You'll be the best Repeat Day celebrator ever! You'll also be a well-practiced senior. Those are the only upsides, though.

A Road Often Travelled

Today is Rocky Road Day! Today is a late update due to the fact that I was sleeping or away from the internet and eating with real life people. However, it is all forgiven because Rocky Road is simple, fast, and delicious to celebrate. Rocky Road is ice cream (usually chocolate in my experience) mixed with chunks of chocolate, nano-marshmallows, nuts, and maybe even some chunks of brownie. You can find it at almost any ice cream shop worth going to, or you could make it yourself at one of those newfangled 'serve yourself' types of ice creameries. I highly recommend you DO eat some today. Quickly, because there is just less than two hours left to celebrate. I don't care if you just had a two taco meal with rice and beans and finished it of with a large slice of what looked like a 7 layer chocolate cake topped with ice cream and chocolate sauce. ... so full... I might just have a Narrow Rocky Road (1 scoop)
